Bandar Utama 2 or BU2 is one of the earlier phases to be completed between 1991 and 1996 in Bandar Utama.

There are approximately 546 houses in BU2. Houses here are 2-storey.

SMK BU, Bandar Utama City Centre, 1 Utama Shopping Mall, SJK(C) Puay Chai 2, and MRT Bandar Utama are just outside of BU2. There are 2 community parks in BU2. The community parks have a basketball court, playground, jogging track, and field.

Residents and visitors can enter into BU2 through Jalan BU 2/4 and Jalan BU 2/1. Residents can use a walk-in-only shortcut from a small side-entrance at Jalan BU 2/1 to go to 1 Utama and Bandar Utama City Centre.
